Let me let you guys in on a little secret, I’m kind of obsessed with fairy gardens. Really all things whimsical and magical, but fairy gardens hold a special place in this fantasy lovers heart.

“What in the world is a fairy garden?” you ask.

A fairy garden in a small little container garden where fairies come to hang! You can jazz them up with moss, miniature sized furniture and gardening equipment, flowers, houses, the possibilities are endless.

I’ve put together a little “how-to” on creating your fairy, I mean very, own!

First you need some sort of container. You can really use anything, I happened to have this flower pot from a recent move that the sellers left behind (free? score!)

Next you need some moss to cover the dirt inside the pot. I purchased all my supplies from Hobby Lobby (tip: download the lobby lobby app for a 40% off one item coupon). Here is an example of what to look for- check your local plant nursery or crafting store as well!

Using scissors, cut the moss to cover the container you chose:

Now decorate with your choice of fairy decorations! As with the moss, you can find these miniaturized accessories at crafting stores (Hobby Lobby, Michael’s) or local plant nurseries. Amazon also has tons to choose from.
